Lol.. Your not gonna belive it, but I drilled 6 1/4 holes lenghtwise in the resonator... Man Im cheap..

I just wanted to get a feel for it, as I intend on makin up a nascar style side outlet system. Of course pending the money situation, and wifey's approval..

 

i'd love to see nascar exhaust on a monte, wonder if you can get a tip that looks like what they use?
should be pretty nice, are you debating going to like flowmasters or something then? if so you should just get rid of that resonator

 

Yeah for sure.. I was considering completely removing it and just branching it off on either side of the car and using some square tips from the grand prix GTP, or something similar, and having it pop out just in front of the rear tire. Im going to have to insualate the plastic rocker panels somehow.. As for adding in a flowmaster, if they make the right size to fit in the exhaust tunnel, then I will be. I hope.. I also have to see where the stock jack bosses are on the car.

Im also having some heat issues with the plastic fuel tank I'll have to get under there and check for clearance and such.... If safety becomes an issue Ill just go with a nice dual setup with 2.25" piping and some nice chrome slash cut tips.
