yea seawolf called around to check local machine shops not $$$$ as i thought to get block repaired "$350" as long as my crank and all is in good shape.Being its already .030 over, should've mentioned that, they its best to go bigger rather than go back to .030 guess the boring will warp the surrounding cylinders.....oh yeah was goiing thru the car never noticed it has car show stickers on the windsheild from 1998 so at some point this car was something...

You can usually go up to a 0.60 over bore on a small block, but get the block sonic tested first to see if there is enough iron in it to support it. You might be able to get by with a .040 overbore, but it depends on how deep it is. Did you actually find a crack in it?
