So just to get this straight, the Wizaired thing comes with the pipe that hooks to the engine, the box, but not the actual filter?

In other words, it's like the K&N, only it doesn't have the cone filter (red part), but instead has the box, right?

A CAI is a Cold Air Induction System, which means that it brings cold air into your engine.

You need the pipe, the box, and the filter. The pipe attaches to your throttle body and pushes the air to the engine. The filter keeps debris from entering your engine, and the "box" is the insulator that prevents the 195°F air from your engine getting to the cone and being used. Colder air is denser and produces more power, so you want to get the air that isn't under the hood.

The Wizaired system gets the best ambient air temperature, and the K&N Heat Shield is a giant joke. It doesn't prevent the hot air from getting to the cone at all.

Hi `Tyler,
WoW, $700 dollars that's a super Budget 4-Sure.
You are a very fortunate young man to have parents
that give up that much to share with you.
The first thing I would suggest is to get your Monte Carlo
in top mechanical shape (if it is not).
Like new fluids (brake, power steering, oil/filter, trans
fluid /filter etc) Tires ? Brakes ? Detail equipment/etc.
Shocks ?
If everything on your Monte is in good condition,
and everything is safe ?, then I would invest into the
Mod's of your choice and that will improve the appearance,
and performance of your Monte Carlo.
"Treat you Monte with Love & it will love you back for
many Happy Miles"
Abuse it, and it will abuse you 4-Sure

Explore the MCF and read/see what other member's
have done to make their Monte Carlo's better,
in looks & performance.
Wish you a early happy holidays & birthday.
Look forward to your future posts, and
watching your Monte improve
with your investments.
Oh, Be thankful to have super parents that support
you & your Monte Carlo...
EnJoy

Now, the Wizaired Cold Air Induction System, is that the CAI and the insulated box, or just the box? If it's both, that would be awesome because it's $100 cheaper, but does more.

Thanks for all the help, by the way! I'm kindof new to performance stuff on cars.
All of us started at that point not knowing much it take's time and effort to get there but you will! Just take your time and have fun. I have owned my GP for 11 years and all I can say is what a ride. And like Kidspace said you have great parents and a nice car take care of it and it will be there for you!!

Thanks for all the help and birthday wishes guys! This forum is awesome. And I am VERY thankful for my parents, even though they can be kindof rough on me sometimes. haha

Kidspace: My Monte Carlo is in tip top shape with all the records included. The owner before me was an auto mechanic so he did everything himself the moment something went wrong. He's a good guy who knows his cars. It's up to 105,000 miles and I'm hoping to get another 100,000 out of it.

So sorry if you have already answered my question about what the Wizaired includes. I'm still not completely sure though. So I guess my question is, what is included in the Wizaired Cold Air Induction System box when it's delivered to me?

Seriously, thanks for all your help!

So now that I have about $100, whats another thing that can help performance? Maybe boost my MPGs, or acceleration? I always love fast cars

I'm thinking about trying to get ahold of some stealth bulbs for my front turn signals. Are they worth it? And is there anyway I can get rid of the orange thing right beside the turn signal?

Thanks,
Tyler

As 'chibi' mentioned, look into ZZP's downpipe, which will get rid of the ubend delete, allowing a few more ponies to help pull.
