Today I figured I had better take my car to Autozone and see why my engine light was on before I head to Florida Monday. I had my thoughts it had something to do wiith the gas cap, or at least hoping. She didn't say a code number but said it was a gross vacuum leak and most likely the gas cap. They sold some but I thought I would just go to Chevrolet and check price first since autozone was 10-20 bucks. GM cap was $20.50 and did the trick about a mile later. In the last month or so the gas cap message had shown up and the engine light would come on for 2 or 3 days at a time. Glad that was the fix. Didn't want to spend my vacation cash.

 

Good deal...at least it was a simple fix.

mine did the same a couple times, I just unscrewed the cap, then rescrewed it and that fixed it........
