Question Can I Turbocharge?

Can I Turbocharge my 99 Z34 and if so what all would I need to do to it?

It can definitely be turbo'd ams has been done before but the downside is there aren't any bolt on kits that I know of. The 5th gen monte platform is a bit different from the 00+ (and 97+ GP), so you'll need to do some modifications for fitment. Id definitely expect to completely redo the downpipe as well as the intercooler piping (if you go that route).

Id still suggest starting with the zzp z3 or cartuning kit (rather than a total from scratch build) as a base though.

Not sure if you're aware, but another option is a supercharged 3800 top swap that is a bolt on.

On a 3.4? Or do those come with the 3800?

98/99 Z34 is 3800. 3.4 dohc was 95-97.

Thats what makes the L67 swaps so easy in 5th gens (since the 3800 NA and SC are nearly identical) - you can grab mounts / wiring etc from a 98/99 Z34 and only need a few tweaks for the differences with the SC.

Unless thats that new Bluetooth turbo - it's missing practically everything to actually install it on your car. If you can fab and weld yourself, then certianly you can make it work by building all of the needed parts (but then who knows if its the right size or what quality it is). But if you can fab and weld, then just scrap buying a 'kit' at all, and just get a bare turbo / WG / BOV.

These are the kind of turbo kits actually made for these cars:
