Has anyone found any caliper covers for 2006 Monte SS? If not has anyone painted them?

Please don't get covers.

If anything I would recommend spending the time and effort to paint the calipers because painted looks so much better and way more authentic than the stupid covers. The covers are ridiculously expensive and look cheap.

Painted my calipers and brackets black.

Yeah I'd say paint them. The g2 kit or just regular caliper spray paint. Do the proper prep and they will turn out great.

The covers hold heat, which can effect the brakes funtionality.

I bought them....Huge mistake! They are cheap tin that literally has to beaten with a rubber mallet to be formed to fit. They expand and contract with heat and cool down, and rub and squeal constantly.Had the wheels off a dozen times! just when i though i had it fixed, it would rub/squeak again. I WAS NEVER HAPPIER TO THROW AWAY 200.00 DOLLARS!

It's hard to see in this pic, and I can't come up with the original pics, but I like what I did on LadyT's Solstice GXP, and I would consider doing it again if I was into "bling", but the Intimidator SS isn't about bling, it's about "stealth" mode. Anyways, here's a pic and a link:

Here's her cardomain site:

I THINK I got them from ASAP Graphics. Tony, the owner has one of the baddest Solstices period!

Home - ASAPGraphics

There are a couple of others:
Create a custom Brake Caliper Decal - Vinz Decals

Tuner Decals, Brake Caliper Decals, Aftermarket Decals, Custom Decals, Window Decals, Car Graphics, Vinyl Graphics

She has probably 40K miles or more on these and they still look great. I'd do this again in a heartbeat! Gotta use hi-temp vinyl!
