Did some measurements to give you a idea on body height. The Front bumper plastic is 13 inches and air deflector below radiator is 9 inches. The front wheel arch area is about 31 inches as where my 02 Grand prix is about 28 inches, plastic ground effects under door about 11 inches and frame is 7 inch from ground. Tailpipes being lowest spot on car has 5 inches of ground clearance. Rear wheel arch is at 32 inches where my 02 Gran Prix is 27 1/2 inches and the bottom of the rear bumper is at 15 inches. This will change once I get different tires but gives you general idea. Maybe someone can post stock height of a 02 for me ?

Nice, thanks for the details, that definitely helps visualize better how it changed! I bet that's a lot of fun to cruise around in!

Test drive was awesome, meet a few new neigbhors when they heard me coming down the street . Open headers seem to attract attention. And is the first car I owned that will blow the tires off at 30 mph. Didn't last long though front tire was so weathered I got a flat when I pulled in the garage.

I bet you got the attention of the entire town...LOL

Jeff, I gotta' say I'm thoroughly impressed! You must have big Kahuna's to take on and actually complete a challenge like that with the wife's car. The consequences of failure could be extremely detrimental...

We were just chatting about it being her car and letting me drive it with friends last night. (lol) As for building the car it wasn't as hard or cost as much as you think. My time was free and rest is how much you spend in parts. Car was about 3 grand if I remember sold drive train recouped some. Frame was free I already had a engine block ,heads and a transmission. Engine and trans rebuilt we'll say 1500-2000. rear end 700, new suspension ,springs, shocks 400-600 exhaust 200 . Tons of other parts but I had most of the parts . Car build can be done by someone who has a decent understanding on car's and can make some things himself with a welder and steel

Body cut above differential
Rear body cuts
Floor joined to body by duct tape
Here's a few pics I was able to get a few weeks ago. First two show where I had to cut into body to clearance the frame in the rear and third picture is where I joined the donar floor to the 2002. Cuts are where the duct tape is stuck to floor. Sorry about the bad pics best I could do at the time.
