Hey 06montess :

"I've STILL got a metal clanking sound at the right rear wheel whenever hitting a pothole, manhole cover etc etc."

I have this same problem...I can't tell if it is a sway bar bushing or a brake line etc. I've gotten under the car and everything is tight underneath. If you find out what it is please let me know.
yeah, same here... everything seems very tight on mine as well, can't move anything to make that sound.... hmmm... just thought of something, I'll have to get back under there and see if there's any kind of exhaust heat shield that could be making that noise...

Just took my 06 LTZ in for service.
Was told by the tech and the service advicer that they found no problem with my remotes. Was giving a sheet on what can cause short range problems (what a slap in the face. If its been working fine for a while, why would I go in a complain about it now). I got the car home and I am still having problems with the remotes. I sent them an e-mail to let them know that they are wrong. Also told them what document number to look for. Waiting to hear back from them.

THANKS ALL FOR THE GREAT INFO THAT YOU ALL POST ON HERE.

Since I spent a couple of wasted hours walking around the dealers lot this morning. I found 12 different types of Impla's 4 of them were SS's (I never thought in all my years that they would make a sports car out of a 4 door vehicle).

Only one Monte on the whole lot, It is a 07 LS and they are looking for 24 grand for it. Only paid 25 grand for my fully loaded LTZ.

Hey 06monteSS if you find out something about the suspension please let me know. Mine is still doing it too. It's not so bad at times only on really rough roads where the suspension seems to get "upset." I haven't taken it to the dealer either so that's my bad.

If I could have gotten the SS my local dealer had for $24,000 I would have bought it. But they still wanted $30,000 back in september when I was looking.

yeah... when I special ordered mine back in Sept. 2005 (took delivery in Nov. 2005), I got employee pricing (mother-in-law is retired GM employee), plus GM incentives, and that was with a 5yr/75k extended warranty (GM Major Guard - $0 ded.). Plus, since we've gone to the same dealer for years now and we know each other very well, they gave us additional cash off both cars - cuz we were buying 2 brand new cars - my wife got an '06 Equinox ...

I didn't have tire pressure sensor problems, but the buttons on the remote key fobhad to be held pretty long to work.Eventually, when the car was 2 months old they stopped working completely. The dealer tried to reprogram them, that didn't work,so then they replaced the receiver unit in the dash.It has worked perfectly since( was replaced in April 06)

When I got the LTZ everyone around here wanted 29-31 grand off the SS fully loaded
Since the LTZ had everything that I wanted and it was 4 grand cheaper along with a 7 year/70,000 mile extended GM warranty plan and 0 ded.
That means for the next 7 years all I pay for is oil changes, brakes and tires. Everything else is covered.I did not think I could beat that deal.
I am pretty glad that I got the LTZ. First and last year for that model. 3.9 v-6 has pleanty of power. Wife says it has to much at times. Mine is the only Laser Blue in the area. Matter a fact we dont see to many new Monte's around here (thats a shame too) Its a great car.
