Im just wondering if their any new mods I can do to my 2006 monte carlo LT 3.9. I want to put new Cams in it wondering if anyone knew if any fit from other cars. I WANT TO KNOW ALL MODS You can do someone please help. Thanks

 

I am pretty sure anything can be done but the aftermarket is very slim for the 3.9 i believe.

 

Hp tuner is supported for the 3.9 , but not a whole lot of mods available. Cold air inductions makes one for that motor. If you really want power then a custom ground cam and cnc ported heads, tb, intake. Lighter valve springs and roller rockers. This could set you back some coin and might not be happy with outcome Or just put some nos on it and a tune.

 

Agreed, simplest mods to complete are tune, top end mods (valves and lifters), exhaust, cold air, MAYBE headers if you could have some made....cams are pretty much non existent for our motor so youd have to get one made, and even then the engine has to be torn down to install, due to the fact that the 3.9 is a cam-in-block engine...heads could be done, just make sure that the person porting them knows what theyre doing, ive heard stories that our gm heads have a tricky flow pattern to port and can be easy to mess up.
