My Onstar antenna fell off the back of the car driving down the highway. I figure it fell due to wind resistance so my car should be aerodynamically faster and weigh less.

I call it my Onstar Antenna Delete Mod!!!

With XM and OnStar there are 2 configurations. One has 2 seperate pieces: the regular onstar antenna that attaches to the back glass window and the triangle XM antenna on the roof... it's about the size of a hockey puck.

The second configuration is where they are combined. This started in 2005 and has the XM triangle hockey puck and a little fin that sticks up about 2 inches or so, hence sharkfin.

Yeah, I've seen it before. Especially with my 2003 Cavalier. I had to be right next to it for the remote to work, but with my monte, I have stood clear across the parking lot (at least 200 feet) and it worked fine. Once it was facing me, that is.
