My 03 was totaled; 45 mph head on collision in the middle of a 5-6 lane intersection. Other person was one-hundred percent at fault; failure to yield. I was the only occupant in mine at the time. Another example of a Monte that saved a life.

 

Ouch..I've had plenty of my own close calls on the LIE, similar situations too. Its lovely how traffic there just comes to a dead stop. I try to avoid it at all costs, If I have to I'll take sunrise first.

Glad you're okay. too bad to hear about your monte but your life is well worth more than a car. The monte did its job!
