Air conditioning recharging kits? Do they work good? Or should I take it to the shop.

 

your best off taking it to the shops because you really need to pulla vaccum on they system b4 recharcing to get a accurate charge

 

Bring it to a shop. In order to get a good charge, you have to first recover all of the freon that is in the system, and then you have to take it into a vaccuum to get all the moisture out. The longer the better for a vaccuum. Also, you have to know which lines to put in the liquid, and which line t put gas into. It is easy if you have the right tools, but I would not suggest doing it yourself if you dont know exactly how to. If you put liquid into the wrong line, and it gets into the compressor, you will completely break the cmpressor, and those are usually several hundred to replace. Why do you need to recharge? It dosent blow cold, like you have a leak and there is no more freon in there? Or you just want to do it just to replace?
