Thanks Jeff, but I probably wont have the time to go far to get a car. I think Im down to the SS with 118,000 mi for 4500 (though Ill need them to swap out the tranny fluid and coolant which was regular coolant instead of dex-cool) or a 2002 SS for 8000 with 90,000 mi that comes with a 5 year, 100000 mile warranty....

One more update, the one for 4500...the dealer is offering me a $1000 2 yr, 24000 mile warranty and he'll change all the fluids and the trans filter for me...

id take then if hes going to change the trans fluid, i had heard that changing trans fluid on a vehicle with higher miles can be bad for it because of the wear and tear, the thinner fluid can hurt the trans, so if hes changing the fluid i would definately pay the extra thousand for the warranty

Experienced members have advised to not go with the Dex-cool coolant.
Maybe go with Prestone's 50/50

Jose have a shop check the tranny in the cheaper one and if it is good I would go that route.
