Default 95 Z34 wont start

Please help!!!

I have a 1995 Monte Carlo Z34 that wont start.
it gave no warning signs before it shut down on me except for
the loss of engine power right before the car shut off..

what happened was I was low in oil by 1 1/2 quarts - It was cold when I started it up,and it started up perfectly fine as usual but this time I didn't let it warm upbecause I was in a hurry.
I pulled out of my apartment complex perfectly fine and as soon as I got on the road all of a sudden it felt like I had lost engine power, I was hitting the gas pedal but it was only moving extremely slow. I pressed the gas a little more and then the engine cut out.

now it wont start - my battery and starter are both fairly new - I checked the fuel filter and its not that. I listened for, and heard, the fuel pump when I turnedthe keyto the on position so I'm pretty sure that works.
I changed my spark plugs and I'm getting spark but still nothing. I checked all of the fuses under the hood and those are all fine.
The engine turns over fine, but it just wont start. I'm stumped PLEASE HELP!!!

this may sound stupid.... but it does have gas right? it honestly sounds like you ran out of gas. maybe the distributor even? if you just changed plugs and a distributor, yoiu may have left something lose.

The 3.4 is DIS ignition it doesn't have a dist. Check for spark at a plug, by your description of how it died I would guess spark is good. Check fuel pressure to see how much you have. The fuel pump can run but not deliver enough pressure, which also explains why it died the way it did. I had the same problem with my 96 Z34 could hear the pump run but only had 15PSI fuel pressure. Don't rely on your ears to check a fuel pump use your eyes and a gauge.

TRy drygas in the tank, see if that helps. Run a couple bottles in there push up and down on the back of the car to kinda mix it up, and try to start it. It does sound like a fuel problem. Start with the easy things.

thanks for all the help I took it for a diagnostic and it turns out it jumped time - now the thing is should I take the $600 gamble and get the timing fixed and hope the compression check on the engine passes and just hope that the valves arent damaged?? or should I sell my car as is?? it has a lot of new parts on it, you can see it in this link http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/car/515437470.html or if I sell it should I part it out or sell it whole??? like I already have it listed???
