Hey guys, I gotta 84 Monte Carlo SS and I'm doing a full resto. I want to use gray decals on the outside but I can only find gray for the 87-88. Anybody know what the difference is? Can I still use the 87-88 decals for my 84? Thanks for the opinions

 

I think they're the same. It wouldn't hurt to at least try

 

the decal layout is totaly different but will work. you can order what you want from those grafix places on ebay alot cheaper than from g.m.

 

in 1983 and 84 the SS was only available in white and blue, I had an '84 ss in the greyish blue color and the decals were also blue but a lighter shade. the body panels for the '83-'88 are basically the same so I would think they would work with some tweaking?? I also had an "87 ss that I got used and it had been repainted a midnight blue color,(not offered by GM), and whoever also put silver color decal package identical to the original '87 decals but also not original, it looked killer and never saw another one like it!! check aftermarket graphic sites for decal packs they will be cheaper than GM too!
