Default 5yr or 100,000 Warranty

Did anyone see info on GM offering the 5yr or 100,000 mile warranty to some previously owned cars and trucks?

I know I saw the information some place? Either on here or the 2kMC web site?

I contacted the dealer I bought my LTZ at. Since I couldn't speak with the saleslady who helped find my Monte I left her a voice mail. I wanted to find out if my '06 Monte wasincluded?

Well I got a letter from her yesterday. In it,she states previous owned vehicles are not included in this. I know I read where this was what GM was offering?

Anyone else remember seeing this information?

You can negotiate a GM warranty with a dealer. They have several hundred dollars leeway built into it. I got my for just under $1400 with a $200 deductable. On the other end, they were offering the 5 year 100,000 for $1800 with no deductable. I belive the factory list price for the '06 plan is $2200 with no deductable.

Isyour Monte a second car? 10k miles a year doesn't seem much. I've put 12k on mine in six months.

Extended warranties seem a waste to me. I've owned a 98 grand prix gtp, a 2000 monte carlo, and a 2006 monte carlo and NEVER had one break down on me or needed to use the warranty.

Nope I drive my Monte to work every day.......

I am one of the lucky ones at UPS...... I only live 2.5 miles to work......
Got the car at the end of May in 06
It just turn 6,000 miles.

My daughter goes to college in York, PA.
That gives me the chance to clean out the exhuast a little.

Wait unitl you have the main computer go out in the Monte after it is 3 years old.
In my 03 Monte everytime the worked on the main computer they had to replace the other computers because they locked up after trying to talk to the main one.

Its worth me to pay the 1800.00 one time. think about everything that this car can and will do.

My luck if I did not get the ext. warranty the day after the 3 years it will break down. SO A LITTLE CYA is worth it.....
