I keep reading that the 3lt 3.9 motor can do 0 to 60 in 6.62 & the quater mile in 14.83 at 93mph.So i ask, did chevy tell a little white lie on the horse power of this motor at 242 hp,the car seens to have about 260hp.Buick did the same thing in 1986 with the buick GN.The GN has 220 hp when tested it was more like 280.They printed lower hp numbers to keep the ins. rates down.that is why chevy made the 3lt only one year, it was running to close with the 5.3 ss.
