So i have a 3.4L impala 2003 and ive replaced fuel pump, fpr and thats about it so when i start it for the first time if i let it prime sometimes itll start up right away but if i start it shut it off for a few min come back and start it itll start right up but let it sit for 30-40 min it wont fire up instantly can a fuel filter cause this? it has roughly 216k miles it runs fine and has power

 

I assume no check engine codes? Hard to say 100% what is going on. At that mileage, there are things to do just for good maintenance, assuming they have not been done. Some of these items may be part of your issue.
- If the fuel filter has not been changed in a while, it would be wise to change it (good maintenance).
- You may also want to check plugs and wires. Platinums and Irridium plugs are good for about 100-150K miles.

Those are two items I would consider exploring.
