I personally don't like any of the photo's posted except
Of course it would never be cost effective it's a great look. I agree with a lot of the argument and yes the Monte has changed a lot over time but to me it's to general like ever other vehicle when the 6/7th gen came out they still looked unique. The only thing that really stands out as similar is the front end of the impala boo. Like other people had mentioned I think GM is missing an in between car not "super tough" like the Camaro but also not "high class" like the Caddi a simple 2 door Monte I think would be a great compliment.

This looks better than the first pic on this thread. I hate the chrome trim on the windows and trunk. I hope Chevy sticks to keeping the body lines that Montes are famous for...and I wouldn't mind seeing a RWD v6 turbo either;-)

GM really left us hangin' on this one and it has been a subject of debate ever since! But thanks for the extra trivia as I never really noticed the absence of the 3rd gen! I knew they always used the MonteCarlo, so bottom line is that it is Chevy's NASCAR iconic nameplate and it would be kinda silly not to use it.
And, you are welcome! It's interesting to me that the 3rd gen was never used. Just a piece of trivia I keep "filed away".
