I like this design (by the OP) because it is a new design and not just a rebadged Holden like the Cruze or the G8 pretty much are/were. If they just give us a 4 door Chevy Commodore for NASCAR fans will just take a crap on that. I know a lot of people like the Commodore and I think its okay. But I think Chevy has left a hole in the line up for an affordable 2 door car when they replaced the Cobalt with the Cruze. Why do manufacturers always wanna eliminate 2-door coupes?

WTF is going on here? is it only me or am i losing my damn mind? excuse my language but seriously people, go back through all the monte carlo generations and you will notice this is a terrible abomination and insult if that worthless looking pile of trash is considered the next monte carlo. seriously, pontiac is gone and this is what GM has in mind? a mixture of a kia, ford focus, and prius? what happened to the old body lines that montes are known for? what about the grille and tail lights? i mean to each their own but to me, i absolutely refuse to acknowledge that trash as the future monte carlo. i cannot believe my eyes at the pics and some comments about people liking that garbage. for all those that have owned and being loyal monte carlo fans through years should know how i feel right now. ok im done with my rant. still furious but, im done
If you look at the cruze it looks allot like it. The cruze is a hot seller so they make everything look like the cruze. Space deleted my pic but if you look at the two together you can see what I mean I posted another pic.

Isn't it great that ~> you are not forced to like the concept design & have so many other choices to pick from in the vast automotive market...
I believe there is a market for a performance/luxury/touring coupe...at a lower retail cost of the Caddy Coupe etc.
Many love the Camaro (especially the ones that only ride in the front seat (The same with the Ford Mustang's), but there isn't many coupes (like any generation of the Monte Carlo) that has a decent rear seat for it's passenger's.
If you had to ride 500 miles in the rear seat of a Camaro or a Monte, (which ride would you choose?)...I think the Monte
I hope/wish that GM would consider a New Monte Carlo, but I am not going to hold my breath...I'm sure they have a division for Market Research to see `if it's feasible or cost effective ?
`Caesar, I hope you aren't losing any sleep, and just be happy you are one of the owner(s) that has a SuperSuper Chevy Monte Carlo

I can't believe anyone hates it that bad! It is what a Monte has always been - a fairly large sporty luxury coupe like 'Space said. When they came out with the 5th gen Monte, what homage did that car pay to the original? They had not one thing in common. And I had a very hard time getting over that it was FWD. the 6th gen (I still do not acknowledge a 7th gen) added some slightly stylized fender, a slight nod to the classics, but had little else in common.
Ultimately, the only consistent MonteCarlo trait is that they are 2 doors. So we should be happy if we get that. The Charger wasn't so lucky. I'm happy with this design because it does look like a premium vehicle. It looks better then the Malibu (also no 2 door option). Consider the last generation of Pontiac LeMans or Chevy Nova. Then look at the pic in the OP and I think it will look a lot better to you
