Well Chevy seems to all have that horizontal split grill now. Except for the Camaro and Corvette which are retro styled currently. It kinda looks like GM wanted to keep the trade mark split grill that Pontiac had, which looked better. But wanted to keep the vertical split strictly Pontiac.

On the sonic, the license plate blocks most of the air opening for the radiator.

The pictures of the Chevy SS in this thread are all concept ideas obviously. The final production model never looks as cool as the concept pics. Especially the wheels. The cool factor always gets watered down.

Realistically I think what we'll see outside is the Holden Commodore with Chevy grill and bumpers. It's basically what they did for the Pontiac G8, and the 04-06 GTO (Holden Monaro).

 

Maybe they should just bring the Holden name and their line of cars over here. lol. I'd be in line to buy one.

The 18" wheels on the SV6 look suspiciously similar to Dale Jr wheels.

 

Not exactly the holden is getting a redesign the same time the new ss comes out so things will be different

 

The sports version of the 2013 Commodore. It looks much better with the spoiler on the trunk.

 

I had heard that the Commodore was still using an old design. And was due for a redesign. So the 2014 should be new. But I do like the SS sport package of the 2013 model. I don't see Chevy offering a 2 door version though. They wouldn't offer anything that could compete with the Camaro and Corvette.

 

Which is part of the reason the Monte Carlo is on the sideline right now.

 

I still dont like it and SS should only be a coupe!!

 

I remember hearing something a few years ago about the chevy caprice making a comeback, I thought they were using the holden commodore and rebadging it. Maybe that plan fell through. Not sure if its just me but naming a car just ss seems foolish.

 

The Caprice did come back as a cop car, its basicly the Holden Caprice (which they have been making sence 06 in the body style chevy has now ) which is a long wb car & the new SS is the Comador which is a short wb car
