2010 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo teaser sketch?

A sketch of a mystery Chevrolet model appeared in the backdrop of a recent press photo taken inside the Rear Wheel Drive Performance Studio at GM's Warren, Michigan, Design Center.
The image shows GM Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner (center), and GM Vice-Chairmen Bob Lutz (left) and Fritz Henderson (right) posing in front of a full-scale production clay model of the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro.
Since the production Camaro is nearly identical to the concept car — as GM executives have stated many times — the most interesting aspect of this photo is the unknown Chevy model shown on a posted in the background.
Mr. Lutz has previously stated GM was considering building a new Chevrolet Impala sedan and Monte Carlo coupe on the rear-wheel-drive Zeta platform, which underpins the new Camaro and Pontiac G8. It's difficult to tell whether the car pictured has two or four doors.
Lutz recently said GM put all future Zeta platform vehicles — aside from the G8 and Camaro — on hold due to strict new government regulations on emissions. However, Lutz's comments are widely viewed as political posturing, and there's a good chance development of several new models will continue.
