2007 Monte Carlo SS rear deck speaker covers
Hi all
I own a 2007 Monte Carlo SS. I am having my rear deck speakers replaced. Only problem is my 6x9 snap in rear speaker covers are dry rotted, cracked and useless. GM discontinued them and I am having a huge problem finding the replacements or remakes. I seen 1 used pair on E-Bay that look like crap. I do not want to waste $ on new speakers without them being protected/covered. Also need factory rear original subwoofers Part #15861927 which are also Dicontinued by GM. I have to tell you that GM IS PISSING ME THE ---- OFF WITH THIS DISCONTINUED ---- !!!!! I guess they just expect you to do without the parts and live with it. Or get ripped off by someone selling you worse parts then you originally had on E-bay for 6 times the amount the crap they are selling is worth. Maybe I should just junk the car and buy a new one so I can have normal sounding speakers. AND NOT A GM/CHEVY VEHICLE. Seems like in order to listen to Music in my car, I need to replace the entire system (which is not worth it) Receiver, Speakers, Amps, etc. And all this because the idiots who designed the system decided to put a Base only channel in the amp for the rear Subwoofers so I cannot put anything else in but their stupidly designed 6x9 subwoofers. And if I use my 4 channel Kenwood amp. They would need to change all the wiring Radio etc. $1000+ (for a new audio system). Check out some of my past posts about this car before you think about buying another Chevy/GM Vehicle. I like chevy's styling. But their machanicals ( Transmissions, etc.) s--k. This car has been nothing but a money pit that I can't climb out of. Thanks for dealing with my rant. Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance> Timbo534
