My wife's 2007 Monte Carlo. Two years ago the transmission started to act up. I mentioned about trading it on new Camaro. She said no.
Well after having a new GM certified transmission installed. Motor mount, Altenator and Power steering pump, new plugs and wires. She wanted to keep it. This past year, new muffler, new carbon sensor on gas tank and 3 electric sensors on vacuum system we still have it. So I had new navigation radio with AM/FM/CD player with maps, backup camera with new kenwood speakers all around, bluetooth. Now its like a new car.
Yes she still likes her car. So after 17 years, probably $8000 in repairs, I guess it was worth it. It still runs great and looks nice and "she is happy with her Silver Bullet".
