well ppl i just registerd to this forum i am as well a part of the RGVTRUCKPERFORMANCE.NET forum since i am more of a truck guy and use my truck for the 1/4 alot and well im looking to get my monty HP TUNED by the guy who tunes my truck anyways well my main question is if more power is added to it from stock would my CV JOINTS hold up since it is front wheel drive with such a big heart (5.3)? any advice would be aprreciated

 

I've heard that the transaxel is the weak point on the 06 & 07 SS Montes.
But I don't have the V8 Monte, so I can't tell you first hand. Hopefully someone who knows more can elaborate for me.

 

If you are just tunning the car you should not have a problem. even if you put nawzzzz or blower LOL the cv joints will hold up the tranny will be the first to die as Mod Taz said.
