Exclamation 2005 Monte Carlo LT. Help a new guy out!!

Hey guys, I am thinking about buying a 2005 Monte Carlo LT. I have a few questions though. I don't know a lot about these vehicles so I thought it would be best to ask here!
Anyways, I unfortunately cant find any supercharged SS models in my area for sale up here in Vancouver Canada, but I have found what seems to be a decent LT model. Now first question is, how much quicker is a supercharged model. Is the LT a fast powerful car? Also the one I am looking at has badges on both sides displaying "Monte Carlo SS" emblems, but it clearly says LT on the back. Whats the Deal with the badges?!? Is an LT worth buying or should I just keep my eye out for a supercharged SS model.

Here is a link to the car----> http://www.barneswheatongm.com/dcm-s...up=Barnes&tag=

Thanks

Okay, for that price I wouldn't budge. Look for any 00-04 SS and it will be the SAME car. The Monte Carlo LT is the non-supercharged 3800 engine, just like the SS's of the earlier years.

And to supercharge them isn't that hard if your are mechanically inclined. If you really want the supercharger.

As for the badges, the previous owner probably just started to put them on.

the LT has 200 hp and the SS has 242 hp

that line on the door makes me think it isn't even an 05 LT at all

for that kind of money i would pass on it!! don't walk, run out the door and keep on looking! i have an 06 lt3, i think lt3 means 3.9l motor. although not supercharged, mine had around 45k miles for a lot less than the car in the ad!!

The price is way too high - keep on looking. I lucked out and found my 05 SS supercharged here local in the burgs of Chicago for $10K with just under 60,000 miles on it (all highway miles - the rock chips on the bumper and hood prove it).

Im goning to have to agree with iMSeRiOuS, I don't think its a 05. I have a 05 LT, an there are a few deference's. 1) The strip on the door. 2) The rims. 3) The spoiler. Thats just what I noticed. I looks like my friends moms 01. Also my car had 60xxx on it when I bought it an I only paid between 12500 an 13000 if I remember right. So keep lookin man it will be worth it.
