But knowing the features are there if I need them is nice. I also like that it acts as a low-jack equivelent (main reason insurance is cheaper because of it).

Thanks for that piece of info. I have State Farm insurance. I'll have to check if they do that too. I was thinking about possibly getting my Onstar upgraded and activated. Providing it was worth having. As opposed to just relying on my cell phone.

I will have to check out the insurance angle also. I never thought about that.

I finally got the car inspected and tagged today so I will start driving it. I also got my first compliment on the car today. The guy that inspected it asked me if I just bought it and told me it was a very nice car.

Be prepared to talk to total strangers about Dale Jr and his win/loss record too.

Good luck on Dale Jr Monte. I have one that I purchased for $13,900 that had 14,000 miles. Very happy. Same sunroof problems start/stop and do not get the Goodyear tires that came OE they aren't worth a damn. Enjoy ownership of a few and proud Dale Jr Monte Carlos....

Chris, if you want a rare Monte. The Tony Stewart Monte is even more rare than the Dale Jr and the Intidator (2002 & 2004). Only 2,020 Stewart edition Monte's made.

What about the JR's without the side decals? were those made like that or did the owners remove it?
