Post 2002 Monte Carlo LS good performance Upgrades

Hello im new to these forums, and i was wondering i have a completely stock 2002 Monte Carlo LS i know the 3800 have alot more performance upgrades made for it and turbo/Supercharger kits made for them but i personally do not want to spend that much money since i am a senior in high school. I have a little knowledge on performance upgrades but i was wondering what are some of the better upgrades to do to a 3400, and brands that would be good anything to improve it that wont cost a arm and a leg?

Hello and Welcome to the MCF. Yep being in High School one is usually on a budget. That's all good, use the search bar and you will find numerous articles with regards to your inquiry. Here is one example you can read through. Have a Super day!!

Welcome!
It is true in the Montes (and other W-bodies) the 3400 is not as popular for mods, but it has them. My ex-wife had an '05 Impala with a 3400 I did a couple of mods too and I also daily drive a '04 Grand Am with the 3400.

Greg provided a good link on 3400 mods. There are a bunch of "cheap" mods you can do. I would recommend L67 coils and a resonator delete as a couple of your first ones. But read the thread, plenty of info to help

First, replacing all the injectors can be costly and time consuming (as on the 3400, they are under the upper intake). What makes you believe there is a leak? It might be something else or maybe a failed/incorrectly seated o-ring. I would pin-point the issue and if it is a bad injector, replace just the one bad injector.

If you do end up replacing injectors, just stay stock... You won't see any gains without boost.
