Default 2001 Monte Carlo ss turn signal problem

I am having an itermitant problem on my 01 monte carlo ss. I will go to put the turn signal on and nothing will happen left or right. Then I press the hazzards a few times and they seem to come back to life. How do I fix this?

Put a hazard switch in it. The turn signal run through and they are notorious for going bad.

Where is the best place to get one? Does the connection to it ever go bad? How do I do it?

You can get an ACDelco on rockauto for $20. You will need to remove the lower trim panel on the driver side and remove the upper trip that covers the dash on the driver side. About 30 mins job.
