Default 2000 SS Gas in Oil

Hey guys. Currently working on a new project 2000 Monte Carlo ss pace car edition. Car started dying after the rpm’s (from cold start) started moving from the 1,400rpm range to the 1,000rpm range. As soon as it would get to 1,000rpms it would struggle and die. (About 20 seconds after startup) it will move forwards and backwards fine (tried pulling it out of the driveway but it died very shortly after). (Running for maybe 1minute total). I heard a very minor knocking and instantly turned the car off. Drained the oil and found that it was very brown and smelled like gas. I then pulled the filter off and dumped it out and found a ratio of roughly 8 parts oil and 1 part gas. (Pictured) I just picked up a fuel pressure tester and a compression tester, But I’m in for the night. Anyone have any ideas?

Thoughts:
-Leaking / stuck injector(s)
-Engine is being WAY over fueled across the board
-One or more cylinders not firing at all

With that much gas in the oil, I'd severely limit how long you let it run while diagnosing. Not sure how long it took to accumulate that much fuel, but Id change the oil before doing anything else. That much gas in the oil can damage bearings, and fresh oil would buy you some time to troubleshoot.

Thank you for the input. I’ll try those things out!

To elaborate a little more, I'd change the oil first. Then Id start it, let it run a little, let it cool, then pull all of the plugs taking a minute to examine each as they come out.

With that much fuel, I'd bet you're going to come across one that looks drastically different from the others + probably reeks of raw gas. Once you find it, you can check to see if ignition is working on that cylinder. If it is, its worth pulling that injector for a closer look - maybe even swap it to another cylinder to confirm the issue moves.
