It is a great looking Monte & I believe it is worth
what a buyer is willing to pay & a owner willing 2 accept (LOL)
I think it also depends on how desperate the owner is &
since his highest bid was only $7500 on Ebay he might
consider that price now since it has not sold.

A one owner with clean car fax with records can demand
more $'s then book prices. I'd pay more 4 a well maintained super clean Monte then one found on any lot.

Good Luck `Joe...it's your hard earned $'s...Keep us updated. I'd like to have it 4-Sure...

Thanks Member's 4 your opinions

Well, I went and looked at it today. It is accross from the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. There are a lot of awesome cars at this guys place in fact he lives there. He owns about 40 of them and sells the rest on consignment.

The car looked good except there was one nic but the back fender well lip which had a little surface rust. There was a little oil under the car but I could not tell where it was coming from. I could tell the car sat there for a while because it has cowebs or spider webs from the car to the floor.

I drove it and it seemed fine. I made an $8500 offer but he would not call the owner for less than 9k. I told him I would think about it. It did have the COA and Window sticker in a frame.

Here are some picture of it and other cars...

6K would be the most I would offer.

Why penalize the buyer for not driving it? Haha :P

Hi `Joe,
Thanks for the update. It's sad that there's a 3rd party involved in the sale...I hope you did not fall in love with it....I'd stand firm on your offer, but it's your $'s. It looks clean, but I've learned that there's still some nice ones out there `if you are not in a hurry to get another one.

p.s. I don't like the oil leak(s) & dried up gaskets, or that there were spider webs etc & that it has not moved & just sat (hope the tires are not flat spotted) + the rust you noticed...Did you check the a/c ?

Keep us updated `OK & good luck on getting it for a good price & if not ~> Move on...I'm sure if it's been there awhile, the owner will want to sell it.

Time is on your side... Wait a week or more 2 see if he calls & says $9K (does he have your # ?)
then stand firm on your offer `if this is the one you want....?

No hurry here Space. I have over a year and a half on my lease car. I was also worried about the oil leak. The AC was ICE cold and I checked everything else and it worked. It had new Goodyear RSA tires in the back and originals on the front. I did not feel any flat spots but I do have a brand new set of tires and wheels off my 2002 at home.

There is guy in Ohio that will sell me his 02 Dale Earnhardt with 20k for $13500. It is in like new shape. I would not mind getting a supercharged model are a 5.3 but the 5.3's are pricey. There is one close to me with 13000 miles for 19k.

Yes they mark them really high but it will go for a lot less...

I got my price from when it was listed on ebay.

Even at 10k the price is too much but 14k holy crap, in all honesty anything over 10k for a non sc monte is too much these days even with low miles
