From what I've heard with police vehicles in general. Police cruisers ordered from the factory as police vehicles, USUALLY get a stiffer chassis. More welds to stiffen them up a bit. But not much in the performance mods area. Simple reason being, they don't need to out run you. They have radios to call other cars to intercept you. You can out run a police car. But you can't out run their radios.

Yeah, but I'd rather have my Monte than an Impala. I rented one to go on vacation once and it just wasn't as nice in my opinion.
