LOL!! I think my wife would execute me if I brought home another Monte!!!! 5 is enough!! At least she thinks so. There are several ways to tell or not if a 95 OPC is authentic or not. If it has the correct decals is one way. Replicating decals today is almost impossible. Five years ago, to purchase the graphics you need to have a correct Serial number, then the cost would be well over $1200.00 . The easiest way for a novice would to simply look into the passenger window. On the special trim that they only made 400 of, located on the glove box, is the production number. 001-099 after that 100-400 ALL badges will have 3 digits. Just click on the badge photo below. It will enlarge and give you an idea what it needs to look like.

As far as I know there are only 3 originals with the lights. I'm looking into making or having a Solar Spoiler made housing the lights. Total cost well over $900.00. Worth it I feel. It may even attract some owners and I may make a buck or two. Just to cover initial expenses.

If your looking to buy. I know of several through out the states. I could and would be happy to help you find one.

If your looking to buy. There are several for sale. Auto trader I think have 2, E-Bay 1, Barrette Jackson 2.

For me, watching Barret Jackson is like being invited to a banquet with all your favorite food. Then being told that not only are you not allowed to eat any of the food, but you have to watch everyone else eat.

I'm glad you are enjoying the thread as I hope others are. I have this exact thread and my postings on My Monte .com . I have one who voted it a 0NE and another a ZERO. I think it's funny a sight that caters only to the 5th and 6th (7th?) Generation Montes and I have a 2 star rating!. Here they enjoy all Generations and I have had only positive reply's and post. Go figure.

I believe MyMonte started as a 5th gen site and expanded to include 2000 and up. But I could be wrong.

I have an account there, but haven't been on there in a while. A couple admins have the mistaken idea that they're not welcome here on MCF. Not sure why exactly. But think it may have something to do with a banned member.

But enough of my thread hi-jacking. Sorry.
