1987 Monte Carlo SS passenger side mirror question. I am in need of glass for my 1987 SS on the passenger side. The existing glass that will be replaced appears to be a flat mirror and has no writing on it. I don't know if that is the original glass. I have found OEM replacement mirror glass that is convex and has the lettering "objects in mirror are closer than they appear." Can anyone that has a 1987 SS tell me if their passenger side mirror has this lettering? Was this lettering on side mirrors in the 80's? I am an origninalist - I want to keep the car as close to it was the very day it was drove off the lot new. I did find a flat mirror without the lettering and I am not opposed to getting a convex mirror with the lettering as long it is period correct. Thank you, Scooter
