Default Silver Sled Customization Thread

Well I'm not going to get too technical or make any major modifications, but there is definately some degree of customization.

I bought the MC about a month ago, a 2003 LS with 55,000.
The first thing I did was scrape off the window tint that it came with. It was not looking good. I learned of an easy method using a steamer to loosen the glue, and it came off with relative ease. I did, however, leave the tint on the small backseat windows. I think it looks good that way.

You can see my $20 handheld steamer from Walmart, and I also left a line of tint along the top of the back window. (I cleaned it up after this photo was taken).

I ended up buying some interior wood trim on Ebay for $50 and it was an easy way to dress up the interior a little bit.
I've owned a bunch of Cadillacs and I guess I'm used to a little more refined interior. But I'm done with Cadillacs and this is my first Chevy.
I'm seeing that there are many opppurtunities to make them your own. Here are a couple of before and after images.

I washed the MC for the first time since I bought it, and screwed on the spoiler. It was a bit of an uneasy feeling, drilling holes into the trunk lid, but I have to say it was definately worth it. I have heard others say that the spoiler really makes a big difference, and I am in full agreement. So in the spirit of making it my own, I don't mind mutilating her a bit. Hey, does anyone know if the spoiler actually has any purpose on these cars beyond the cosmetic? Especially since I have an LS, I doubt it.

The pictures also show where I left the tint along the top of the back window, which I am very happy with for now.

Very nice! The wood trim has really made an improvement and for $50 I think that's a great deal. The spoiler makes a huge difference I think. Love what you've done so far, Welcome to the forums by the way, don't think I've welcomed you yet... Keep the pictures and mods coming!
