Question 18 inch SS Wheels Question...

Hey everyone, What tire size do you guy's suggest putting on the 18inch SS Wheels?

I don't know the exact size off the top of my head, but if you go to Tire Rack and look up an 18" wheel they will recommend a tire size that will keep your diameter as close to stock as possible for speedometer calibration purposes.

Pretty sure they recommend a 245/45/18. But I have a 225/45/18 on my 18s

Thanks Guys! Good to know, but sucks for me cause I thought I was going to get lucky on this set of 225/40-18 tires I found for a good price..

you can use that small of tire.. but i dont think it looks good. it doesnt fill the wheel well at all. and your speedo is gonna be off

Plus, the thinner the profile the tire is, the more likely you are to bend a rim WHEN you hit a pot hole. I see that all the time around here. But mostly with 20"+ rims.

Ive got a friend whos uncle made a fortune off of ppl who would put big 20"+ rims on there suvs with thin tires & bend em in pot holes & they would come right back & buy another rim
