Does anyone know what one single factory 17inch wheel weighs off of an 07 lt?? I wanna replace my wheels with lighter ones.. Also does anyone know if i replace my wheels with lighter ones will it help horsepower? I figured it would but on the same end it might lesson the top speed of the car due to gear ratio??

 

I don't know the exact weight, but would think that unless there is a huge difference in weight, it wouldn't make much difference in horsepower.
Like if you were driving with 20+ inch rims, and racing with 16's or 17's. I would think the weightreduction inswapping stock 17's with different 17's could be negated by other factors like the weight of the driver, or a full tank of gas.

But I suppose every little bit counts. I've known people to empty their trunk (including mini spare), and remove the back seat and passenger seat,amps and subs, etc...before going down the strip.

 

I believe it's around 29lbs with no tire.
