RE: '06 Monte Exhaust
ORIGINAL: cain45 hey solara slayer....I have a question. Has your LTZ been wrecked in the rear? Your monte carlo ltz badge is set way higher than mine and stock ones. I was just curious. There was supposed to be a TSB about some kind of paint damage occuring to cars evidenced by yellow dots or something. I found of a couple of strange yellow dots on my trunk stil exposed from under the repaint. It looks like the badges were relocated to cover these strange yellow specs. |

RE: '06 Monte Exhaust
Nice they were willing to fix the problem for you.
Hope they don't put the letters on upside down? It will look like: 7_l_ Z (that's the closest I could come to an unside down T and how in the @#%%^ do you make an unside down Z anyways?) |

Grandpa Dave, I had the same thing on my Monte It's called Rail Dust...It's from metal partials that come from the tracks and fall onto the paint. My dealer clayed and detailed mine. Ask your dealer about it...There was a TSB out, but I can't seem to find it. I also made a past post about it, but it also seems to have dis-appeared from MCF. I will keep searching. Please update the forum when your LTZ is returned and give us a report : ) |

RE: '06 Monte Exhaust
Let us know GPD.
Okay, now back to the thread subject. I was reading the window sticker from my car this afternoon. It states; Stainless steel exhaust, duel tips. Does this mean the exhaust IS stainless or just the exhaust tips are? I can tell you the exhaust tips AREN'T ....... stainless. (Okay they are now cause I bolted them on) But the pipes sure aren't stainless. So what does this information mean? Anyone?????????????????????? |
RE: '06 Monte Exhaust
I'm glad to hear that they fixed it for you solaraslayer. I was just curious, I didn't mean to appear to look down on your LTZ. The brown or bronze was the color I initially wanted when I bought my LTZ.

RE: '06 Monte Exhaust
Speaking of tips, anyone have pictures of exhaust tips on their Monte? I was hoping to research some different styles, rolled edge straight cut vs straigh edge slash cut vs etc etc.
I finally got off my lazy --- and uploaded photos of my GM exhaust tips. (stock ends on tail pipes) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...6/ea322b1d.jpg (GM exhaust tips installed) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/ea322afa.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0/ea322aab.jpg |
