I'm just a little curious to this, there are no codes showing up? When I had to replace a bearing I remember that either my ABS light was on and or service traction control message appeared?

I know mine did, and Mike you have a 6th gen so there may be a difference between the 6th and 7th gens?

I changed both in my wife's Impala SS no codes ..
Where are you in St.Louis ? Iam at 55/141 area

Could be a slight difference, but codes could result in issues with the sensors over the actuall bearing

It all depends on what is going wrong with the hub really...
all the abs is just this ring that sits inside. If there is rust inside (its common for the inner bearing seal to leak water) the sensor won't detect it unless it shorts or begins to slip.

All it was is the metal ring, plastic and the wire soldered to the plastic part.
If you are doing the hub, have fun. Have plenty of thin pointed flat-head screwdrivers. I went through about 4 & broke a hammer handle. Unless you got a air chisel...your life will be easier :P

I have no idea what an air chisel is but im willing to learn lol. Glad there are forum members near me
