I have an 04 SS at the moment and it has the overhead "Trip Computer" thingy that will compute average speed, fuel used, average MPG, how many miles to empty etc.

My question is, in the 06/07 models, does the "Drivers Information Center" do all these things. My Mom has a 06 Buick Allure (La Crosse in the US) and it looks like the same deal as is in the 06/07 Monte, and hers does give the same info but it shows in the speedo cluster.

Exactly what is the new Monte's DIC capeable of displaying ??? I know you have to select what you want shown because there are only 2 lines, but what can you select??

 

it doesn't show you how much fuel you've used. I miss that feature from my previous vehicle...

it shows you the odometer, 2 trip meters, how many miles you can go on remaining fuel, avg. speed, avg. economy, instant economy, 8 or 4 cyl. mode (for us SS V8 owners), compass, tire pressures, oil life monitor, and options to change personal settings for lights, chimes, door locks, remote start, entry/exit lighting, etc etc...

 

Thanks 06MonteSS - sounds like it's the same as the on in the Buick. I hoped the fuel economy avg was still there but none of the Chevy info said it.

yeah, I said that... "avg. economy"

what it does NOT have is how much fuel you've used.
