Why in the world do you guys keep a towel over the console? This seems 'odd' to me.
Not the first time I've been called odd.

You see Cain, it is like this, I tend to lean on the console 100% of the time I drive.

Every car I've owned that has had a consolehas been damaged in some way by my driving habbit of leaving my elbow there all the time.

The oils in your skin are very "deadly" to vinyl and leather and react adversely.

Of course, we all know that you drive with both hands because you are the greatest driver on Earth. j/k j/k.

.....plus, the towel is extremely handy to rapidly grab and wipe the quickly accumulating dust off of my beautiful black, shiney......Meguir's polished dash, steering wheel and instrument cluster.

So does this mean you don't drive with your hand on that leather wheel??? No offense but that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard but to each their own. Not judging here.

[sm=pimp.gif]LOL! No I don't drive with my hand on the leather steering wheel.

[sm=pimp.gif]I have a genuine GM licensed steering simulated leather steering. wheel cover I bought from the dealership.

[sm=pimp.gif]I'm a left handed Hispanic driver. I drive with my left hand while my elbow is on the console and I'm leaning low with my right hand combing my goatie with my fingers.

[sm=pimp.gif]Come on Cain, you must have seen the movies.

Still not understanding the "oils from your skin" thing. You must not touch the car without gloves on....come on I know I'm **** but definately not that ****.

I drive right handed, so I don't really have to worry about the whole fading cousel deal, I do have the scratched up side due to the seatbelt holder which is quite annoying. As for the fading crome, I've never had that problem, and the monte was made 01/06 and I've had it since August of 2006 and it has almost 36k on it, 20k put on by me. Doesn't matter much if they were faded tho, 'cause I put a set of those eyelid thingy-ma-jiggers and they look fine, but I'm gonna cut them back a bit over the brights.
