Take it to the dealer RJ, how hard was that?

MAYBE............ easier said then done?

Getting the headlights replaced due to fading chrome would be great. Not finding more scratches on my car then what it had before they touched it, thats the hard part.

They did a nice job on the dash right next to the CD player when they changed it. [sm=chairshot.gif]

Did you take it back and complain? I sure would and they would have fixed that too. They did awesome job on mine, brand new headlamps & bulbs with no scratches.

I keep a towel over my console. I like using the lid as a cushion. We all have dead skin cells that fall off and they can collect on something like your console is the reason why.

I found out a while later the mechanic had scratched my console real nice under the area the towel covers. I know the scratches weren't there before. And you know they'll deny making them.

If I took the car back to complain they'd just scratch something else.

But I don't carry anything in my back pockets. So what I had on me wouldn'tscratch the console like a tool would.

One thing I'm getting very aggravated with is the seatbelt receptacle scratching the center console... it's like this half-moon of sanded down console.... looks ugly as hell on my black plastic.. and it's not like there's anything that can be done to that particular area.

Totally agree FlynhghR....I have noticed this area becoming slightly grey.

I think it would probably wear it off too.

That's weird for me too. I keep a towel over the center console and every time I get it back from the dealer, they throw the towel in the back seat.

Is it some kind of policy?

Why in the world do you guys keep a towel over the console? This seems 'odd' to me.

Hi `James -Cain45-,
RJ, explained why in his previous post....Several members do get really
turned-on, & excited when they are behind the wheel of their Monte Carlo.
The towel is to clean up the fluids that spill : )
Does that seem `odd to you ?
