05 malibu ss???

Default 05 malibu ss???

i was driving down the road the other day and saw a blue malibu ss, it had clean looking ground effects and ss emblems. is it real??? share what you know on the subject

The only new Malibu SS I know of was available from 2006 to 2007 using the 3.9 liter V6 that we find in the 2006-2007 Monte Carlo LT models.

it looks alright, i dont really mind it, whats the point of having that and the impala tho? lol

It looks like a mini-Impala SS. I suppose they discontinued it after two years due to poor sales, the SS Malibu wasn't all that appealing.

yea i wasnt sure of the year. looks just like that same color and all.

i just wanted to know if he added some ss badges and groundeffects and made it look better. i can now sleep at night knowing hes just a d bag.

I actually think those are kind of nice. You're obviously not buying a Malibu looking for performance, and it really doesn't deserve to be called an SS, but I do think it looks nice, and the 3.9L is a nice engine as well.

I agree. I think the 2008+ Malibu is actually a REALLY nice car. But I think the SS version of those older model Malibu's is pretty nice too. And in a car the size of the Malibu, i'm sure the 3.9L moves that things pretty well. Not to mention, I think the "SS" Malibu's with the 3.9L were matched to a 6 speed automatic, so they definitely are not lacking on demand power.
