If the 'Change Engine Oil' monitor wasn't reset when the oil was changed it can come on prematurely. There are 2 ways you can reset it - through the factory radio or you can turn the key to the ON position (don't start the car) then fully depress the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. You will hear a chime that verifies it has been reset.
