Default 04 Dalejr cars..

Got a few questions about my monte..

What month did chevy start producing the 04 Dalejr's?
My monte is missing the Dalejr headrest(either its been swapped or never came with it) Also missing the signature on the outside & the #8

It is a real Jr car, has the 8 inside the door, the sticker onthe door itself stating its a dalejr, glove box has the plate & signature under speedometer. Maybe the original owner didn't like the number???

Door jam sticker says 01/2004.. (i could have the first!!)
I need to figure out how to obtain a copy certificate... i did see a topic on this before in mcf, but no luck. ):

That 1/2004 means your car was built in January of 2004. As for what month they started, not sure :P

You could try going to a dealer with the vin...
and possibly find out what # of how many were made.

Also they can tell you, If this was just a factory built model..
Or a special customer order.../ They maybe able to reproduce the "original" certs...
also i recommend checking under each seat (in the springs) for the factory spec papers...(front seats)..

Some of the issues you have described missing or otherwise...Maybe its a stolen recovery? Have you tried doing a carfax on it?

I would be curious about what you find out...

It shows the car was first bought in upstate Ny, in Syracuse. It only shows two registered owners, the first person & a trade in to a dealer in jersey (found that by googeling the vin)thinking of calling that dealership to see if they have the certs..
checked under the seats, nothing. ): I'd assume it would be in the manual, but nothing was in it.

Generally...the factory put assy papers in the springs under the seats...since its a special edition and not your standard monte..

But I do believe the dealer will give you the most info as far as # of how many as well as what number your car was when it was built...
But they might be able to give you some documentation on it being a Dale Jr. original edition...

Maybe even contact GM head quarters here in Detroit...
They maybe better able help you to find out what yours came with? etc...

I did not know what # of 3333 my Sr car was. Someone helped me out on here with the number to call below. I called and gave them my VIN and they sent me a letter stating my Sr. was 765 of 3333. Dealer has the 3 for Sr cars and probably have the 8 but they are very expensive...
