You should be able to 'backflush' the condenser with air without removal. After you do just make sure to also blow out the area between it and the radiator to remove any trapped debris.

The condenser was a little clogged up along the bottom but not enough to cause a problem. While I was under the car I noticed tht if I have to change out the compressor it will be a pain in the butt. Also is at least one of the cooling fans suppose to come on when the ac is turned on? They both will kick on once the engine temp calls for it but not when ac is turned on. One of my past vehicles would automatically operate 1 fan in ac mode

finally got some gauges hooked up to the system and I found that my high side and low side pressure a close together. 38psi on the low and about 70 on the high side which should indicate that the compressior isnt workin properly but may indicate a blockage as well. atleast thats what I have been told. Going to vacuum down and recharge after I flush the condensor and see what happens from there

good grief! Can someone direct me to the location of the orifice tube in my car? I am hoping to get a chance to work on it this weekend a little bit and the first thing I want to do is check to see what itlooks like. I have googled a bunch but still not confident that I know what Im looking for. Doesnt help that its dark by the time I get a chance to go looking under the hood...
Thanks

Just a follow up. I replaced the ac compressor which wasn't as bad as I thought at first glance. A little tight but not bad once I took out the cooling fans and the intake filter box I could get to everything I needed. The orfice wasn't operating properly as it was block with crud. I flushed the condenser and replace the orfice and replace the compressior and wahlah cold air blowing out the vents. Just in time for cooler weather her in the Kansas City area.
