Default 0-60 and 1/4 mile time??

Hey everyone! So today on a nice stretch of road hidden somewhere I did a few passes for 0-60 times with my phone and app.

best run I got out of 4 tries was 9.46 seconds. It kept getting lower with each try.

I've been reading that the stock 02 monte's LS do like 8.6. So is it just because it was brand new, or because my car has 114k miles lol

it's alot more responsive on a fresh start, not when it's heat soaked (btw, my temp gauge hovers on and/or around the half way mark)

114k miles

Hi TJ,
I don't know how accurate those app's are ? ?

If there is a track close, you should go to a track & do a test
There is so many factors in2 zero to sixty times: weather/temps/road/tires/tire pressures/how much weight in the car/or people/miles on car/condition of engine/trans etc...

You could get one time one day & be about a second faster or slower the next...

That's my one cents 4 tonite...Whoever is reading this ? It's your turn to post your opinion/thoughts or just fill `up some space on the MCF

TJ > Nice looking Monte> >4-Sure, but I think that racing stripe maybe slowing you down a little ? (j/k) ps. I do think the stripe looks good on your `ride !!!

A lot of things factor into it. Elevation being one of those factors. The time you read is probably for close to sea-level, so you're right on par IMO. Humidity also will kill performance. Oh and for what it's worth, my 0-60 time is 5.3 seconds.

Haha, well, it was pretty accurate for me, the speedo on the app with the timer was on par with my speedo in my cluster :p

and Thanks KidSpace I've put a lot of hard work into her, I'm glad you like it!

Thank you guys for your input lol I appreciate it, i'll have to take it to the track some time (if the mileage doesnt kill it)

Temp wise....

That's pretty much normal IMO....

Mine varies according to the temps outdoors, whether i'm in heavy traffic and or if I'm cruiseing the freeway.... But generally its in the middle or just a tick below it. However, on the freeway... It reads almost cold! Like it use to when it was new.... But with the miles on yours (and mine as well).. You have no worries.
