Default 1/4 Mile Time Issue

So i have a 2002 Monte LS 3.4 liter V6...stock it ran a 16.56, now my car has a cai,cat back exhaust, throttle body, plugs, wires, coil packs, and a jet v force plus module..now my best pass was a 16.83 but the other runs were around a 17.00....what would make my car do this..im thinking it is the module but idk...any input would be great.
Thanks!

don't you have to get below .5 reaction time, i think that is very close to red lighting it, but it is still within good r/t, not sure, it has been quite awhile since then???

Show a picture of your engine bay. That CAI could be a HAI and hurt performance, just sound nice.

Cat-back has no restrictions that would effect your HP, so that's just for sound

TB is minimal to no HP gain, more of a supporting mod

plugs, wires, coil packs are all perfectly fine, and preferred to stay stock.

Also weather & Track conditions can affect your times.
Cool vs hot mades a difference.
How fast is one second ? A lot in a race, but in reality
it's pretty fast. EnJoy your 16 sec 1/4 miles in your
awesome Monte... I'd be super happy with your Monte.
Suggestion: `Turbo

As for the CAI vs. HAI at the track there really isnt a difference maybe a few thousands of a second becasue of the heat soak that the intake will experence while waiting to go, so i wouldnt think that is a problem.

what type of coil packs do you have? becasue i know on the 3800 the stock ones are preffered over MSD ones.

and like space said track conditions are a huge factor, heat, humidity, it also could just be a bad batch of gas. Thats another thing, was your tank at full this time as opposed to a quater tank last time.

my tank was full when i ran 16.56 but was at a quarter tank when i ran 16.83...i have the msd coil packs its the 3.4 not the 3.8....and i got the cai from wizzaired which i heard was really good for the 3.4 but i guess not haha...as far as weather it was real close to the same for each race day...

The wizaired is a good one, don't worry.

Does the 3.4 engine still have the horrible U-Bend? If so you could just be sucking in more air than you were stock, and you car is having a hard time exhausting it and creating a small lag on take-off.

If they make a downpipe for the 3.4 I would get that next.
