i don't like the square tips on teh dynomax system... the bumpers on our cars are sort of rounded for a round exhuast tip... i had a round exhuast tip put on mine instead of the square tip
But they fit perfectly with the high sports apperance pkg ground effects cutouts. The oval tips remind me of the tips that were on the classic Chevelles.

yeah.. they do look a little like the old chevelles... i just didn't like the tip on my monte with the rounded off bottom. i notice the pontiac grand prix's have square holes in the back of their bumpers... i think thats what they had in mind when they designed the tip. also, the tip is very thin, and i didn't like the words inscribed on the top of it. different strokes for different folks though... they just weren't the right stroke for me and my car though.

Understood. Ya I agree they wouldn't fit right with the cutouts on the reg SS.

Welcome to MCF Dylan. I'd go with a downpipe with ubend, Cold air intake, and throttle body. The mufflers aren't that restrictive and don't give big gains till over 300 hp is made.

I would also check summitracing.com for prices. I think the dynomay there was 380 so you can save about 70 bucks or so.

but Summit has out of the world shipping... PFYC is free over $100, so its actually cheaper to get alot of stuff from them.

I third everyone's opinion on a good complete free-flowing exhaust system.

I hate to ask about your budget, but how much money will you ahve coming in later on to put into this car? You don't have to answer, but consider this. All of these things mentioned will pick up some power for you. I don't contest that. But think big picture. If you want a lot of power later on, like a turbo, take that money and put it in a savings account. Another $2300 and you got a Cartuning Performance turbo kit. Now that comes with a u-benddelete and high flow cat. If you are considering doing this to your car, think big picture. All of these things these members just mentioned add up in a hurry.

Actually avoid Cartuning as much as possible. Kevin has a great site, but that is about it. I see quite a few of them pop up on ClubGP with questionable reasons for selling.

Oh and the full exhaust isn't really the way to go. This exhaust isn't that restrictive. He needs to add about 100 hp in mods before it makes it makes sense. We all just do it because it sounds good.

UBend and downpipe - 10 hp $300
CAI = 10 hp $200
Rockers - 20 hp $300
T-Body - 10 hp $200

Once you have that in that order you will be set to get the exhaust for performance reasons. If you want the sound, bump it up the list and do the exhaust the whole way through.
