Default Painting your plastic engine cover

Well im going through and touching up the engine. Im going to have to re do some peices, cuz well im tired and slacked off a bit, but heres a little guide. My picture quality isnt the best, but im not back from football till 8PM so i hve limited daylight. Theyre pretty big too haha.

Supplies
1. Use the 900 grit, then 1300 grit, then 2000 ish grit sanding the parts.
2. Paint colors of choice. I HIGHLY reccomend using Duplicolor high heat paint, it sticks to plastic nicely and very well to metal.

Night I brought it home

After painting a cover. Use a few thin coats to make it look best, make sure it is very clean. I wouldnt paint the bottom of the cover. ( I added the intake too, ignore it though)

Then I painted the braces and the bolts holding them one. You can use the same paint for this. I used red, still high heat paint.

Last off, just got done tonight. Took off the main plastic cover around the hood hitch. Painted it black with the same high heat paint. While it was off i painted the whole hitch assembly, bolts and all. I didnt take out the release because of time restrictions, but it still turned out good.
